What is the Inspire Sleep Device?

Obstructive sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder that affects 22 million Americans. When left untreated, it can lead to devastating effects on heart and brain health, impair quality of life and increase motor vehicle and occupational accident risk. While Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is an effective treatment for some, only 50% of people can use or get benefit from it. Many patients complain that their CPAP machines are loud and they are unable to sleep comfortably while wearing a mask. If CPAP isn’t working for you, there’s now a treatment option that can give you the sleep you’ve been dreaming of called Inspire.
Inspire is sleep apnea treatment that works inside your body without a mask or hose. It’s a small device placed under the skin in a same-day, outpatient procedure. When turned on, Inspire monitors your breathing and opens your airway, allowing you to breathe normally and, more importantly, sleep peacefully. No mask, no hose, just sleep.
Inspire is controlled by the small, handheld Inspire Sleep Remote. The Inspire Sleep Remote allows you to turn Inspire on and off, as well as adjust the therapy to your unique settings. Watch the video below to learn more about how Inspire works.

Inspire was FDA approved in 2014 and is used by over 10,000 people worldwide. Over 140 peer-reviewed publications document the safety and efficacy of Inspire. Notable outcomes include:
90% of bed partners report no snoring or soft snoring1
79% reduction in sleep apnea events1
94% of people are satisfied with Inspire2
96% of Inspire patients say Inspire is better than CPAP2
You might be a candidate for Inspire if . . .
You have moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea
You are unable to use or get consistent benefit from CPAP
You are not significantly obese
You are age 18 or above
If you struggle with CPAP, set up an appointment with your doctor to learn more and see if Inspire is right for you.
